GeoSilica recently hosted the Nano Matters: From Waste to Value conference in Reykjavík, bringing together scientists, innovators and industry representatives to discuss innovation, research and the future potential of geothermal silica. The conference was organised to introduce the REGEOSS project, which GeoSilica has been working on together with partners from Italy.

The conference explored, among other topics, the value of silica generated through geothermal energy production and how this resource can be utilised more effectively. Particular emphasis was placed on the potential of geothermal silica in sustainable innovation, industry and agriculture, and on how research and collaboration can help transform underutilised resources into valuable products
